All of us have heard something on the news\, read something in the newspaper\, or seen a post on Facebook or Instagram and wondered if it was true or false. In this presentation\, Phyllis Ledyard and Kim Block from the PDL News Literacy Committee will show you how to be news literate so you can determine what is actually fact and what is not. Phyllis Ledyard and Kim Block are former educators. Then\, in light of all the book banning and burning going on in libraries around the country\, PDL Director Valerie Meyerson will be discuss the public library collection maintenance process and the freedom to read.
