DESCRIPTION:Zonta Club of Petoskey invites the public to their 53rd annual Fashion Show on Saturday\, November 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Lange Center at Bay Harbor Yacht Club. The Fashion Show\, themed “We Are Women. Hear Us Roar\,” will present its full runway show and highlight the latest fall and winter fashions from more than 30 retailers in the Petoskey-Harbor Springs area\, and include an elegant lunch\, entertainment\, a silent auction and a gift basket raffle.  Michelle Chenard will be the featured performer for the event and Parker Marshall will be spinning the music! \nThis year all attendees will be entered into a drawing for a $2\,500+ piece of diamond jewelry\, generously donated by Arlington Jewelers. \nEach year\, Zonta Club of Petoskey gives more than $20\,000 to organizations that improve the status of women and girls.  The Fashion Show is the club’s primary fundraiser. \nTickets are $100 each and you can purchase tables of 6 or 8. DESCRIPTION:We will be joined by members of the Leadership Little Traverse Class of 2026 to share with us an exciting new project they are helping support in the community. \nLeadership Little Traverse (LLT) is a professional leadership program with a mission to inspire and prepare civic leaders in the Little Traverse Bay Region to take action and better our community. There are over 350 LLT alumni and this year’s class will be the 25th to complete the program. \nEach year\, LLT participants undertake a class-wide Community Service Project. Selected by the class\, each project challenges the program’s emerging leaders to step-up and make a positive impact on the community. \n  \nThe LLT class of 2026 selected to support InvestMitt Cooperative for this year’s project. InvestMitt Cooperative is a recently formed 501c(3) non-profit that serves to be a new “tool in the toolbox” to aid in the affordable housing crisis. InvestMitt aspires to acquire\, manage\, and develop local real estate – especially housing that is attainable for the local workforce – in Emmet and Charlevoix counties. InvestMitt also would like to be able to provide low-interest financing for projects that meet community housing needs\, reduce development costs\, and help make homes more affordable. \n  \nThis organization is led by a local\, volunteer Board of Directors and is focused on growing their Community Investment Fund (CIF) to help them achieve their goals. A CIF provides an option for more people – not just the wealthy few – to invest their money into a fund that will be used to collectively purchase and maintain community-serving properties. While new to our area\, CIFs have proven successful across the country in helping communities address the affordable housing shortage problem. \n  \nThose interested in getting involved can become a member of the InvestMitt Cooperative for an annual minimum $25 contribution\, or become an investor with a minimum investment of $500.
