SUMMARY:Program Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The next  business meeting for Zonta Club of Petoskey will be on Thursday\, March 21 at noon in the Westminster Room of First Presbyterian Church of Petoskey.  Please make every effort to attend.   This is a brown bag lunch. \nOur program lunch will be on Thursday\, April 4 at noon at First Presbyterian Church of Petoskey\, Westminster Room.  Our speaker will be Val Meyerson\, from the Petoskey District Library.  Val will be speaking about the Anti-Defamation League and the impact of hate on our community.\nValerie Meyerson\, director of the Petoskey District Library\, received her BS in Business from University of Colorado and her MLIS from Wayne State University. She has more than thirty years of experience as a library director under her belt. Val also serves as a Regional Board member for the Anti-Defamation League\, an organization that’s mission is “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.” Val has a strong commitment to the community and this can be seen through her volunteer work as the immediate past president of Sunrise Rotary and the current president of Temple BNai Israel. \nWhen not volunteering or working\, Val can most likely be found at her home in Petoskey reading or playing bridge.  She loves biking in the summer and skiing in the winter and always looks forward to visiting her two children\, Jeremiah and Chashah\, both  successfully launched from the University of Michigan. Currently Val is reading Iron Flame\, by Rebecca Yarros. \nApril 18 – Business meeting.  Noon. First Presbyterian Church of Petoskey Westminster Room.  We will present checks to our grant recipients as well as to our YWPA recipient.
