On April 7, we welcome our very own Laura Taylor. Laura is currently working on her doctorate in nursing. Her topic will be :Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders: perinatal PTSD and traumatic childbirth
We will discuss the power of birth and psychological sequelae from trauma and traumatic childbirth that can place the mother at risk for perinatal PTSD. A broad understanding of traumatic childbirth and PTSD will be presented. This discussion will bring people together to discuss this phenomenon and how we as women can help empower those that have experienced traumatic childbirth and diagnosed with perinatal PTSD.
