(Petoskey, MI, February 11, 2026) Applications for the 2026 Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award are now available from the Zonta Club of Petoskey Area. One applicant from Emmet County will receive $1,000 award from the Zonta Club of Petoskey and then be recommended for a district/region award. One recipient per district receives a district/region award and their application is considered for an International Award.
Applications are available at zontapetoskey.com.The goal of the Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award is to encourage young women to participate in leadership positions and recognize their commitment to the volunteer sector, volunteer leadership achievements, and dedication to building a better world for women and girls through service and advocacy.
Women, aged 16-19 on April 1 each year, living in a Zonta district or who are citizens of a Zonta country, who demonstrate evidence of the following, are eligible to apply:
• Active commitment to volunteerism.
• Experience in local government, student government, or workplace leadership (paid or unpaid).
• Volunteer leadership achievements.
• Knowledge of Zonta International and its programs.
• Support for Zonta International’s mission of building a better world for women and girls.
Applications should be submitted to Zonta Club of Petoskey Area President Sarah Ford by March 20, 2026. Applications can be submitted by email to info@zontapetoskey.com or by mail to PO Box 760, Petoskey, MI 49770. Mailed applications must be postmarked by the deadline.
