| This year’s Young Women in Leadership recipient is Alyssa Glaser of Petoskey, a sophomore at Albion College, majoring in political science, with a minor in psychology. Ms. Glaser has a concentration in public policy through Gerald R. Ford Institute at Albion, while in the Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program. She plans to get her law degree and work to help women trying to overcome domestic abuse. The goal of the Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award Program is to encourage more young women to participate in public affairs by recognizing a young woman’s commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to the advancement of the status of women. |
